We didn’t believe TDK when they told us these DVDs were scratchproof. So they sent us some steel wool and sandpaper to try it out. First, we duplicated our DVD test master onto the TDK DVD-R at 16X speed. Then we scratched and scratched this DVD with steel wool to the point we knew it would never be able to play on any DVD player! But it worked! We couldn’t believe it. Next we took out the sand paper, and sanded that same DVD well beyond anything a normal DVD would go through. It still played flawlessly. Now we are truly convinced that these DVDs are scratchproof. For your critical DVD masters, insist on this scratch-proof archival master disc. Other discs can easily scratch and become unplayable – not so with the TDK Discs.
